Training Options

Introductory training session

Transformative offers a standard 2 hour training session which provides participants with a sound introductory understanding of issues affecting transgender and gender diverse people . Participants are provided with a framework within which to understand the specific knowledge that is shared. Delivery is interactive and uses a range of formats including the sharing of personal experiences.

Customised training options

Transformative is also able to develop training sessions that address the specific issues affecting your workplace, educational environment or service delivery practices. These customised sessions are often structured as a half or full day training session and provide the opportunity for more in depth discussion about service specific issues. In the past we have run sessions for workplaces in which an employee is transitioning, community organisations that are seeking to be more inclusive in their practices, and schools that are wanting to respond appropriately to these issues.

Transformative also offers training sessions that are more broadly focussed around gender stereotypes and assumptions.

Panel discussions and community speakers

We are also able to provide community members who can speak from a position of personal experience about a range of issues affecting their lives. This can provide a very powerful and interactive way for participants to engage in the issues, and we always receive very positive feedback from these engagements.
